UPDATE: No injuries in plane crash on Glade Park
A 74-year-old man was uninjured when the plane he was flying crashed Tuesday morning on Glade Park.
Shortly after James Dittrick, Glade Park, took off from a private airstrip at 15801 Pinyon Park Lane, a wingtip on his small plane caught some wind, causing him to try and turn around. He got tangled in power lines, Mesa County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Heather Benjamin said.
No one else was aboard.
The crash was reported at approximately 10:45 a.m.
Grand Valley Power is on scene.
