No valentines for 6 arrested on warrants

CANON CITY — Police officers posing as flower delivery people helped arrest six people on outstanding warrants during a Valentine’s Day Sweet Heart Sting.

Canon City police Capt. Allen Cooper said officers made four arrests on Thursday. Another suspect was arrested by another department and the sixth suspect voluntarily showed up at the Fremont County Detention Center after learning of the warrant.

According to the Pueblo Chieftain, the arrests netted suspects wanted on theft, traffic violations, a drug warrant, a forgery warrant and a DUI suspect.
