Northglenn police search for sick baby
NORTHGLENN — Northglenn police are searching for a sick baby who was nearly abandoned on a stranger’s porch.
A woman told police she heard a noise at her front door Wednesday morning. She says when she went to investigate, she found a baby in a car seat on her front porch with what appeared to be an oxygen tube running from its nose to a portable oxygen bottle.
The resident of the home told police she confronted the woman, who said she thought it was her nanny’s home and she took the baby and left.
The search comes a day after a newborn was found outside a Colorado Springs apartment complex.
Contrary to initial reports police say the baby girl wasn’t found in a trash container. Her 17-year-old mother has been interviewed.
