Obama cancels Colorado trip

COLORADO SPRINGS — President Barack Obama is canceling a planned rally in Colorado Springs because of Hurricane Sandy.

Instead of coming to Colorado on Tuesday, the president is returning to Washington to monitor the storm.

Meanwhile, Jill Biden told about 150 volunteers in Lakewood on Sunday that she shares their fatigue from the long campaign and she appreciates their efforts to keep her husband, Vice President Joe Biden, and President Barack Obama in the White House.
