Olathe Sweet Corn festival officially back on

It turns out there will be a 22nd annual Sweet Corn Festival in Olathe this year.

After the town of Olathe voted to temporarily cancel the long-running event because of budget constraints, a number of citizens coalesced to keep the popular event on the summer schedule.

It was announced today that the festival will be Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Olathe Sweet Corn Park.
