Outdoor gear galore to be displayed April 9
If you’re addicted to “gear,” or just like it, MOG Fest is the place for you.
The 2011 MOG Outdoor Gear Sale and COPMOBA Bike Swap will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 9, in the large parking lot in the 400 block of Colorado Ave., and it claims to be the largest gear event of its kind between Denver and Salt Lake City.
An entry donation of $5 for adults and $2 for kids will go to benefit COPMOBA and KAFM 88.1 FM community radio.
MOG stands for Manufacturers of Outdoor Gear and COPMOBA stands for Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association.
Sales samples, factory blemishes and closeout gear from more than 50 outdoor gear reps, retailers and manufacturers — Black Diamond, Roxy, LOKI, DT Swiss and more — will be available for purchase at the gear sale.
The COPMOBA Bike Swap will allow members of the public to sell bikes and gear. Early registration for sellers is at 8 a.m. Saturday.
Flat Top Reed will play from 2–4 p.m. and some environmental and outdoor-related organizations also will have booths at the event.
Info on the event and bike swap registration can be found at mogoutdoorfest.com.
