Pair allegedly robs Clifton Wendy’s; arrested at nearby Taco-Bell
Two people were arrested early Sunday morning after they allegedly used a BB gun and knife to rob a Clifton fast-food restaurant and force two employees in a back room of the restaurant.
Timothy Victor Atchley, 27, and Angela Marie Reed, 20, both of 3066 D Road, were jailed on suspicion of second-degree kidnapping, aggravated robbery, menacing with a deadly weapon and third-degree assault. Both are being held in the Mesa County Jail on $100,000 bond.
According to an arrest affidavit, Atchley and Reed grabbed two female employees of Wendy’s, 3207 Interstate 70 Business Loop, dragged them into a back room and stole more than $3,100 from the restaurant. The two were contacted by a Mesa County sheriff’s deputy and arrested in the drive-thru at Taco Bell, 3231 I-70B, around 1 a.m.
