Palisade band is sweepstakes winner at festival

The Palisade High School marching band parades down Main Street on Saturday in downtown Grand Junction, one of 14 bands to take part in the 35th annual Colorado West Marching Band Festival.

For the third year in a row, Palisade High School was the sweepstakes winner Saturday at the Colorado West Marching Band Festival in Grand Junction.

The competition, which began downtown with a parade before moving to Stocker Stadium where the band presented their field shows, brought bands and their color guards from all over the state.
