Palisade Peach Festival offers weekend full of fun things to do

Get out of the pits and enjoy one or all of the remaining days celebrating the peach in Palisade.

The Palisade Peach Festival began Thursday, Aug. 19, but is far from over.

The Peach Festival at Riverbend Park goes from 1–8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, with vendors, peachy food and contests.

Various tours of area orchards, vineyards, wineries, breweries and more will be available Friday through Sunday, Aug. 20–22.

Among other activities planned for Saturday are the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast (7–10 a.m.) and the Peach Recipe Contest (Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m.) both at Palisade Memorial Park, a 3- and 5-mile run, a car show and a parade (9 a.m. downtown).

On Sunday, consider participating in the Peach Fest Pedal-Paddle-Pedal (8 a.m. at Riverbend Park) or browsing the Palisade Sunday Farmers Market (10 a.m. to 2 p.m. downtown).
