Partners sees 200 percent jump in mentor applications

What’s a Partner?

Mesa County Partners is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Youth usually are referred to Partners through the courts, but many simply come from troubled backgrounds.

The national organization was formed in 1968 and has 10 affiliates across Colorado.

“Partners believes in holding youth accountable for their actions while supporting them and teaching them new skills,” according to Partners’ Web site. “Our goal is to help young people become independent and productive members of society.”

Another way to help
Chili’s Restaurant, 584 N. 24th St., will do its part Tuesday to help Partners. Chili’s patrons who go to Partners’ Web site can get a coupon that will direct 10 percent of their meal cost that night to Partners.
