If they would invest and budget our tax money as well as PERA has done we would not be in the fiscal shape we are currently experiencing! There will be more lining up to stick their hands in the PERA pot.
If what Carole Wright has written is correct, then there should be no problem with the State Treasurer seeing PERA’s complete books.
Yet the PERA Board continues to stonewall the Treasurer. Why is this so, if there is nothing to hide? Why is this so, if there is such success?
For years we have seen both sides fudge budget numbers for their own good. In this time of fiscal crisis throughout the nation, the last thing the State of Colorado needs is an unpleasant surprise from the State Pension Fund.
When it comes to a teacher or an Man who has multiple advanced degrees Finance and Financial Management, I think i will take the word of the expert over the word of someone with not Financial background.
