Lyn Mortensen, owner of Wild Daisy Art, shipped 100 hand painted Christmas cans to the Front Range Monday morning.

Surrounded by shiny paint cans, Lyn Mortensen was putting the finishing touches on 100 hand-painted gifts she created for a Front Range customer.

The customer is an endodontic physician who relies on referrals from dentists to keep his business running. “He’s always looking for a special way to say thank you to them,” explained Mortensen as she carefully painted the names of each dentist on each can Monday morning.

This is the fourth year that Mortensen has hand-crafted a gift for this particular customer. The cans will be filled with other Colorado Proud products. “I think it’s nice that they are trying to use all local products,” she said.

Mortensen is the owner of Wild Daisy Art which creates a wide variety of hand-crafted gifts for the holiday season. Some of those items include platters, plates, hammered copper, seasonal prints and miniature creations.

“We just have all kinds of holiday gift ideas,” Mortensen said.
