Commenting is not available in this channel entry.Really George, as a former teacher, coach, and headmaster, knowing from the inside what it entails to be a professional educator you are willing to throw the educators under the bus? Your position is to cut salaries of these very professionals in a community who won’t support those who have been great ambassadors for their children and great stewards of spending the money granted to this District in years past for infrastructure and foresight?
I say the community needs to share greatly in these cuts by feeling the sacrifice through the loss of programs and the convenience of free transportation. Maybe the four day school week? Something where it is not just the professionals who work for peanuts to begin with sacrificing more because some others believe it is too much to support education?
I cannot say I would support cutting teacher salaries and you of all people should know the sacrifices these professionals make on a daily basis for this community and the kids they teach!
