California authorities Thursday released photos of two men wanted for questioning in the slaying of two people last month in the San Francisco Bay Area in addition to being wanted on murder warrants in Grand Junction.

Jaime Cardenas, 19, and Fidel Silva Jr., 24, both of East Palo Alto, Calif., should be considered armed and extremely dangerous, the East Palo Alto Police Department said.

Along with Lester Miranda-Davis, 18, of Clifton, and Christian Fuentes, 20, of East Palo Alto, the four men are accused in a crime spree July 16 that included the slaying of 31-year-old Jorge Alberto Carrasco, who was gunned down in a shooting outside Taco Bell, 850 North Ave., which left two other people wounded.

Miranda-Davis, who graduated in May from Central High School, was formally charged Tuesday and is being held on $750,000 bond at the Mesa County Jail.

Fuentes was arrested in California on July 19 on suspicion of violating parole.

Fuentes, Silva and Cardenas are suspects in the slaying of a woman on July 13 and a man on July 19, in East Palo Alto.

Aside from Carrasco’s slaying in Grand Junction, the four are accused of robbing two Grand Junction businesses at gunpoint and burglarizing a home in the 2600 block of Chestnut Court.

A detective with the East Palo Alto Police Department said all three California suspects have possible ties to the Norteno gang of northern California.

Affidavits in the Grand Junction cases remain sealed.
