Pitkin County gives pot businesses more time

ASPEN — Pitkin County is giving medical marijuana businesses more time to submit applications for a local license even though they are out of compliance with county regulations.

County manager Jon Peacock says the 30-day extension will give operators more time to comply before any enforcement action is taken.

Peacock tells the Aspen Times the goal is compliance, not punishment.
