Playing music was ‘joy in life’ for Chuck Thomas
Chuck and Jeanie Thomas settled in Grand Junction in the early 1970s, after nearly 15 years traveling the U.S. as a professional duo playing country clubs and upscale hotels and nightclubs. Big band music was their favorite, and Chuck played saxophone, drums, harmonica and several other instruments. His wife played piano and organ. That was during a time when people “still went out for a night of dinner and dancing,” Jeanie Thomas said.
