Police: 15 arrested in alleged meth ring
Fifteen people arrested over recent days across Mesa County are part of an alleged methamphetamine-distribution ring, authorities said today.
The Western Colorado Drug Task Force said in a news release that 14 were arrested Tuesday after eight search warrants were executed at various locations across the county. Among the bookings:
— Maria Ann Quezada, 26, Dawn Michelle Ortiz-Ramirez, 35, and Chelsie Crow, 18, were arrested at 662 Crossing St. on suspicion of charges ranging from simple possession, to conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and complicity.
— Cassandra Lynn Britton, 26, and James Rudder, 23, were arrested at 2814 N. Niagara Circle on suspicion of conspiracy to distribute and sentence-enhancing special offender charges.
— Ruben Almeida, 33, and Tammy Almeida, 37, were arrested at 1815 Orchard Ave. on suspicion of counts including possession, conspiracy to distribute and being a special offender.
— Ramie Lynn Eslinger, 34, and William Conn, 40, were arrested at 423 Chipeta Ave., unit B, on similar charges. Conn was also booked on suspicion of a parole violation and possession of a firearm by a previous offender.
— Micheal Anthony Dupont, 27, was arrested at 1150 Santa Clara Ave. on suspicion of special offender and conspiracy counts, among other charges.
— Bennie Joe Ortiz, 46, was arrested at 307 Cherry Lane on suspicion of conspiracy to distribute, among other charges.
— Michael Pauel Inzunza, 18, was arrested at 338 Four Star Circle, while Marilyn Lee Haro, 39, and Cesar Lee Haro, 40, were arrested at 1018 Highway 6 & 50, unit 94, on suspicion of charges ranging from conspiracy to distribute and complicity.
Another alleged member of the group, Chemaria Gonzalez-Hernandez, 28, was arrested Monday on drug-related charges.
