BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Police thought they were responding to a woman shot in her SUV, but found a woman they describe as drunk and slumped over the wheel in her blood-soaked zombie Halloween costume at a Birmingham intersection.

Al.com reports that a passerby called 911 Thursday morning after seeing what appeared to be a woman covered in blood and unresponsive at a traffic light.

Police say officers roused the woman, and then removed her from her SUV. Authorities say she was then handcuffed, searched and taken to the city jail on a DUI charge.

A photo of the woman by al.com showed fake blood covering much of her torso as she was apprehended.

Al.com reports the woman said at the scene that “it’s all good.” Details on her identity weren’t immediately available.
