Sex offender alert

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a convicted sex offender who failed to register with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.

A warrant has been issued for Ronald James Odekirk, 22, for two felony counts of failure to register. Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Heather Benjamin said there are already multiple active warrants out for Odekirk, including for failure to register and failure to appear in court.

Odekirk is believed to be in Mesa County. Anyone who sees him or knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
