Man booked after pursuit
Kyler Rentie, 19, 3244 D 1/4 Road, No. 4, was arrested late Friday on suspicion of vehicular eluding and reckless endangerment, among other offenses, after Grand Junction officers attempted to stop Rentie’s vehicle.
Rentie is suspected of disregarding a traffic sign in the area of Sixth Street and Teller Avenue, failing to yield the right of way and failing to report an accident while driving with a revoked license, police said. Rentie also was named on two arrest warrants.
2 car break-ins on street
Mesa County sheriff’s deputies Friday received separate reports of someone entering and taking vehicles in the 400 block of Casey Way.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
Lamonte Hansen, 42, address unavailable, was arrested Friday on suspicion of robbery and auto theft in the 500 block of Dawn Drive. Hansen has been accused of assaulting a man in the area of 29 Road and North Avenue and taking his vehicle.
A vehicle was reported stolen Friday from the 2600 block of Belford Avenue, causing a loss of more than $1,000.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
A vandal smashed a window of a parked van in the 2400 block of Broadway on Friday. The van was entered, but nothing was missing. The damage was estimated at $250.
A Schwinn Moab 3 mountain bike was reported stolen Friday from a home in the 2800 block of Monroe Lane. The loss was $384.
