Jail work crew finds pot along I-70

The Mesa County Sheriff’s Department on Monday reported that staff from its alternative sentencing unit found suspected marijuana while conducting trash cleanup on Interstate 70. The marijuana was seized for destruction.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

Jeremy Rowell, 19, address unavailable, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of taking a woman’s keys and then breaking into her home in the 900 block of North Avenue and harassing her.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested Sunday on suspicion he illegally entered a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Hall Avenue.

John Ramountos, 52, address unavailable, was arrested Nov. 30 on suspicion of indecent exposure to others in the 1400 block of North 18th Street.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

Items valued at $1,800 were taken Monday from a home in the 34000 block of Pronghorn Drive in Whitewater.

A woman in the 3000 block of Meadowvale Court reported Monday that someone had turned off the gas meter to her home for the third time in a week. Extra patrols were requested.
