Woman suspected of reckless driving
Katheryn Ann Cyr, 31, 2915 Orchard Ave., Unit G11, was pulled over in the 2900 block of North Avenue on Wednesday on suspicion of suspicion of three counts of aggressive driving, driving with a revoked driver’s license and DUI, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.
Prisoner accused of assaulting officer
James William Stene, 22, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault on a police officer — scratching a deputy — as he was being removed from his cell at Mesa County Jail, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
Three people assaulted and attempted to rob a teenager who was walking Monday in the area of 24 3/4 Road and Fountainhead Boulevard. The teenager was injured but did not require medical treatment.
Five juveniles were issued summonses on suspicion of disorderly conduct during three separate incidents at East Middle School, 830 Gunnison Ave., this week. On Monday, two 14-year-old boys were ticketed for fighting. On Tuesday, two boys, 12 and 13, were ticketed for fighting, and a 12-year-old was ticketed for damaging a book that belonged to a teacher.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
A thief stole a checkbook and laptop computer valued at $1,200 from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 2000 block of Jordon Court on Tuesday.
A vandal caused an estimated $500 damage to a window of a home in the 3200 block of Main Street on Tuesday.
Someone reported Tuesday that a $300 black BMX bicycle was stolen from a yard in the 3000 block of D Road.
Someone reported that $300 worth of property was stolen Tuesday from a vehicle parked in the 3100 block of Brownie Circle.
According to the Colorado State Patrol:
Christopher Wayne Orsburn, 26, 3229 D 1/2 Road, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of aggressive driving with a revoked driver’s license after he was pulled over at the intersection of Interstate 70 Business Loop and 31 1/2 Road on suspicion of DUI.
