Deputy threatened, authorities allege
Thomas Jay Mundlin, 495 1/2 Road 32 1/8, No. 4, Clifton, was arrested Friday on suspicion of criminal mischief of between $1,000 and $20,000, menacing, harassment by telephone and resisting arrest at 3202 E Road, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.
Mundlin, 29, called dispatch and threatened to kill a Sheriff’s Department deputy, according to his arrest affidavit. When deputies tried to arrest Mundlin, he tried to get away and damaged a patrol car, the affidavit said.
Car windows damaged; Woman booked
Angelica Teresa Valdez, 27, 3188B Hill Ave., was arrested Saturday on suspicion of causing $1,200 in damage to another woman’s car windows in the 500 block of 31 3/4 Road, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department. She also is suspected of obstructing an officer.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
A thief entered a garage in the 2600 block of G Road on Friday and stole $1,000 worth of items.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
Sheriden Diane Harfst, 48, 2917 Brook View Lane, was arrested Friday on suspicion of criminal impersonation and driving with a restrained license.
A Grand Junction resident called authorities after receiving a suspicious phone call from a 1-876 telephone number Friday. During the call, the local resident was told that law enforcement found a bag of money with her name on it. The local resident was asked a series of personal questions, but she refused to answer them and called authorities. She was told the call was fraudulent.

Jason Paul Brummett, 33, 1056 E. Harrison Ave. in Fruita, was arrested Saturday in the 150 block of South Mesa Street in Fruita on suspicion of assault.
