Embezzlement suspected

Grand Junction police are investigating an embezzlement from a local business. Police received a report last week that a known person is suspected of stealing more than $1,000 from a business in the 2400 block of Patterson Road.

Officers are investigating the report. No other information was released.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

Sanmei Chen, 34, address unavailable, was issued a summons Monday on suspicion of shoplifting from Mesa Mall.

Krysta Morris, 18, address unavailable, was issued a summons Sunday on suspicion of trespassing and theft from a business in the 2400 block of Rimrock Avenue.

Someone stole a vehicle from the parking lot at Albertsons, 1830 N. 12th St., on Monday.

Someone stole property from two vehicles in a garage in the 2300 block of Rana Road on Monday.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

Someone entered a boarded-up garage in the 2800 block of U.S. Highway 50 on Monday and stole more than $1,100 worth of tools.
