Drunken woman injured
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Department said a woman was treated for unspecified injuries at St. Mary’s Hospital after she jumped from a moving vehicle Saturday night in the area of 29 1/2 Road and the Interstate 70 Business Loop.
The woman, who wasn’t identified, was taken to a detox facility after she was released from St. Mary’s. Deputies were initially called to the area around 7:30 p.m. on a report of an intoxicated woman.
Man accused of escape
Derek L. Nash, 625 Colony Road, was arrested in the pre-dawn hours of Saturday on suspicion that he failed to report back to the alternative-sentencing unit at 559 Pitkin Ave.
According to an arrest affidavit, Nash left the facility around 2:40 p.m. Friday to go to work, but didn’t return. He was located the next morning with friends at a local home, the affidavit said.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
More than $15,000 in jewelry, tools and other property was missing after a burglary reported Saturday at a home in the 400 block of Country Club Park Drive.
Joshua Bailey, 25, and Sean Southwell, 29, addresses unavailable, were arrested Wednesday at 197 Indiana St. on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and weapons-related charges.
Items worth more than $1,000 were reported stolen from a vehicle Saturday which had been parked in the 300 block of Gunnison Avenue.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
Jesus M. Bital, 36, 912 W. Gunnison Ave., was arrested Saturday in the 2300 block of North Avenue on suspicion of driving without a license, no proof of insurance and driving with false plates.
Nicole L. Young, 22, 1823 B Road in Delta, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of second-degree auto theft after she was pulled over by officers while driving an Oldsmobile Cutlass, which had been reported stolen on Tuesday.
