Stork delivers, thief takes
A couple got an unwelcome surprise upon returning to their vehicle after having a baby at St. Mary’s Hospital on Oct. 11.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department, the couple returned to the unlocked vehicle in the hospital’s parking lot to find the car stereo was stolen.
The stereo was valued at $140.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
Property valued at less than $500 was taken from a vehicle parked in the 2600 block of B 1/2 Road on Nov. 7.
Property valued at less than $500 was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 200 block of Mountain View Street on Oct. 27.
A vehicle valued at more than $20,000 was stolen from the 700 block of Monument View Drive on Oct. 19.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
Wire was stolen from a business Nov. 8 in the 2700 block of C 1/2 Road.
Unlocked vehicles were entered, but nothing was reported stolen Nov. 7 in the 400 block of 32 Road.
An intoxicated man was taken to a detoxification facility Thursday after walking in the roadway in the 3800 block of G Road.
