Police blotter: Oct. 14, 2009

Forgery suspect arrested

Bridgette Gale Wilder, 46, unknown address, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a forged instrument, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

Several crimes suspected

Marcos Alexis Montoya, 27, unknown address, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of identity theft, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, possession of a transmission device, theft of between $500 and $1,000, stripping, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

Someone vandalized property in the 600 block of 25 Road on Tuesday, causing $1,000 in damage.

Someone entered a home in the 1300 block of N. 16th Street on Tuesday and stole digital cameras and a handgun.

Someone stole more than $1,000 in cash Tuesday from a business in the 2400 block of U.S. Highway 6&50.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

Extra patrol was requested Tuesday in the 100 block of Sunlight Drive after several vehicles in the neighborhood reportedly were broken into.
