Jail visitor arrested, too
A woman who attempted to visit an inmate at Mesa County Jail wound up in jail herself, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department. Tiffani Marie Curtis, 26, was arrested on a warrant at the jail at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Curtis was in jail Friday on a $20,000 bond on suspicion of two counts of larceny, auto theft and forging checks, the Sheriff’s Department said.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
A thief stole a scooter in the 2800 block of B 1/2 Road on Thursday.
A woman who lives in the 400 block of Forelle Street reported she lost her purse, which contained prescription medication, a debit card and identification.
Deputies responded to a report of a group of juveniles being in a camp trailer in the 600 block of Americana Drive. The owner told deputies he would not press charges, but he would do so in the future if the juveniles continued to trespass on his property.
Deputies detained two juveniles who were climbing on the roof of Lincoln Elementary School, 2888 B 1/2 Road. The juveniles were released to an adult and were given warnings.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
Rogelio Mendez, 48, was issued a summons Tuesday on suspicion of third-degree assault in the 2400 block of U.S. Highway 6&50.
