‘Strapping’ roommate feud
Mesa County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called Friday to intervene in a reported spat between roommates at a residence in the 600 block of Ian Court.
A man claimed his new female roommate hit him in the arm when she told him to turn down his music.
The man added he was a “strapping, young, athletic male,” and it would “take a lot more than a punch in the arm to hurt him,” reports said.
Deputies found no injuries.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
A thief broke into a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Athens Way and stole more than $1,000 in property. The incident was reported Friday morning.
Jordan Pierson, 19, address unavailable, was issued a summons Friday on suspicion of underage consumption of alcohol and obstructing police in the 1400 block of North Fifth Street.
Two boys, ages 13 and 14, were issued summonses Friday on suspicion of disorderly conduct after allegedly fighting in the 500 block of 29 1/4 Road.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
A woman in the 100 block of North Spruce reported Friday finding two bags, one containing a breast pump and the other 94 tablets of methadone, which were abandoned outside a hair salon.
A man in the 2900 block of F 1/2 Road reported Friday observing a white, older-model van speeding through a construction zone and nearly hitting a flag worker at the intersection of 33 3/4 and C roads.
A woman in the 3000 block of Meadowvale Way in Clifton reported Friday that rocks were thrown at her vehicle and garage door, causing more than $1,400 in damage.
