Powderhorn pass-holders will get deals at other resorts
Powderhorn Mountain Resort season pass holders get an extra bonus this winter: buy one pass, ski nine places.
As part of the Powderhorn “Plan for Powder” pre-season pass sale beginning Friday, 2013-2014 Powderhorn season pass holders will see special offers and lift ticket prices at some of Colorado’s premier ski resorts.
This year’s resort partners include Aspen/Snowmass, Steamboat, Durango Mountain, Crested Butte and Sunlight Mountain.
“Our passholders are dedicated, passionate skiers and riders and this year we have some great partners to work with,” Powderhorn Resort General Manager Daren Cole said. “We’re thrilled to offer five unique partnerships that allow our loyal guests to experience eight major Colorado resorts, in addition to Powderhorn, featuring thousands of acres of winter fun.”
The “Plan for Powder” pre-season pass sale runs through Nov. 2.
Pre-season prices for an adult (18-64) full-season pass start at $459, a $70 discount from the regular season price, while a seniors (65-74) pass is $379 and a youth pass is $349.
Cole said an adult, one-day, walk-up ticket this year will cost $59, no change from the 2012-2013 season.
Among the offers available to Powderhorn adult pass holders this year is access to the Aspen/Snowmass four-resort Classic Pass, which offers four days of skiing at any Aspen resort for $55 per day, and the Steamboat 5-Pack, five days of skiing (no blackout dates) for $149.
Crested Butte offers Powderhorn season pass holders unlimited half-price lift tickets, while Durango and Sunlight each offer Powderhorn pass holders three half-price tickets.
“The pass reciprocity we hold with Powderhorn is such a great added value for our pass holders and theirs,” said Scott Clarkson, vice president of sales and marketing for Crested Butte.
Cole agreed, saying having these options allows local skiers to use Powderhorn as their “home base” and still explore other resorts.
Passes for youths and adults will be available at the Powderhorn ticket office during the resort’s Fall Fest and annual Color Weekend events, Sept. 21-22 and Sept. 28-29, respectively, as well as at off-mountain sales locations across the Grand Valley.
Passes also can be purchased online at the Powderhorn e-store. To find remote pass sale locations or to purchase a pass online, visit the website at http://www.powderhorn.com.
