The local community has developed a comprehensive set of resources available for people seeking information or help about suicide. Here are a number of resources we encourage you to use if you are a person contemplating suicide, a family member or friend seeking information for or about someone else, or anyone interested in exploring the support resources that are available:

888-207-4004 — A 24-hour crisis hotline via West Springs Hospital and Mind Springs Health, formerly Colorado West Mental Health

1-800-273-8255 (273-TALK) — National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, also the Veterans Crisis Line via the Department of Veterans Affairs

 

970-263-2824 — Military veterans can contact Sonja Encke of the Grand Junction Veterans Affairs Medical Center to schedule an educational presentation
