Race, learn and party at Telefest

Race at 8, party at 4.

Of course, there is more to enjoy during the sixth annual Powderhorn Telefest on Saturday, but that’s really what you’re interested in, isn’t it?

It’s a daylong festival for freeheelers, with clinics, demos and even a costume party, as if your 1960s-vintage wool knickers weren’t enough already.

Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the famous uphill/downhill race kicks off at 8:30 a.m.

Registered participants get a $35 lift ticket, clinics are $25, and the party is another $10, which is cheap.

Admit it, you can’t party at home for $10, even if you’re wearing 50-year old knickers.
