Rad show displays fine art

Central High School student Erik Newhouse’s work is among other pieces completed by high school students on display in the Fine Arts building at Mesa State College.

The Super Rad Senior Show is currently on display inside the Fine Arts building at Mesa State College.

The show features the finest works by area high school seniors and includes oil, acrylic, watercolor and multimedia pieces.

The show is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Friday, May 20.

This is the sixth year the Super Rad show has featured the work of area high school students. Previously the art was displayed at Mesa Mall and Mural Jam. Super Rad supports art education in School District 51 by providing supplies and connecting artists with teachers to provide workshops and lessons in the classroom.
