Rediscover Grand Mesa along the scenic byway

The Getaway to the Byway, hosted by numerous organizations from the Grand Valley to Delta along Colorado Highway 65, takes place Saturday, June 5.

The event is billed as a “grand day to rediscover and experience the largest flat top mountain, the Grand Mesa, along the Grand Mesa National Scenic and Historic Byway.”

Events include:

Cedaredge Rotary Club barbecue, Grand Mesa Scenic and Historic Byway Welcome Center, 388 S. Grand Mesa Drive, Cedaredge, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., $6, 856-7985.

Mesa Farmers Market and Craft Corner, Blink Coffee Co., 11011 Colorado Highway 65, Mesa, 9 a.m. to noon, 268-5775.

Pioneer Town Heritage Days open house and horse-drawn wagon rides, 380 S. Grand Mesa Drive, Cedaredge, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., free, 856-3100.

Heritage Days 5K on the Byway, beginning at 8 a.m. Cedaredge Middle School, 845 SE Deer Creek Drive, Cedaredge, 856-3494.

Talent Show, Cedaredge Town Park, 445 W. Main St., Cedaredge, 6–8 p.m., free, 856-3123.

A number of fundraising yard sales will take place along the way.
