Buddhist meditation class begins today
A new series of Buddhist meditation classes will begin today at Yoga West, 1025 Main St.
The Healing Power of Meditation, Healthy Body, Healthy Mind will be from 1–2:30 this afternoon, with subsequent classes March 3, April 21, May 26 and June 9,

Financial Peace University class begins
Financial Peace University, the 13-week DVD course taught by Dave Ramsey, will begin Feb. 12, at Seventh-day Adventist Church, 730 Mesa Ave.
The class is at 1 p.m.

CMU athletes host fundraising event
“Bring the Light of Your Life,” a Valentine’s fundraising event, hosted by Light of Hope and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Colorado Mesa University, will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 14, at the CMU South Ballroom.
Proceeds will go toward Promoting Healthy Relationships and Choosing Respect Scholarships, and toward the Self-CREDIT Program (Confidence, Respect, Esteem, Determination, Independence and Transformation)
The program gives youth the determination to stay in school, earn a college education and to engage in only healthy relationships that will give them independence and lead to their transformation.
