Four advent concerts set at St. Luke’s

A series of four advent concerts will be presented from 12:10–12:55 p.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 27–Dec. 18, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, at Fifth and Palmer streets, in Delta,

The Nov. 27 concert will feature Marge Swain and Kathy Kolman, vocalists with piano by Sharon Clark; Dec. 4, Special Men’s Choir; Dec. 11, Mary Kleinsorge, soloist with guitar; and Dec. 18, the Cedaredge United Methodist Church Choir.

‘A Festival of Lessons and Carols’ on tap

 

The Celebration Voices of the Montrose United Methodist Church will present “A Festival of Lessons and Carols,” an all-jazz and spiritual program to celebrate Christ’s birth, at 7 p.m. Nov. 30 and 5 p.m. Dec. 2, at the church, 19 S. Park Ave.

Director of music Kelly Thompson will lead the singers, accompanied by Laurie Ranum on piano, Ashleigh Caudill on upright bass and Joseph Clark on percussion.

An offering will be taken to honor the accompanists.
