Residents near 31 and C to be on alert for wanted suspect

People who live in the area of 31 and C roads received a shelter-in-place call from law enforcement this morning, as the sheriff’s office has been on the lookout for a wanted suspect in the area.

The same area was the target of a search by deputies Friday night, and the Saturday shelter-in-place was lifted after 10:30 a.m.

The man deputies are looking for is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with a goatee and tattoos on his head. He is believed to be armed, and was previously spotted in that area.

Anyone who sees this man in the area of 31 & C roads is asked to call non-emergency dispatch at 242-6707 or 911.

The sheriff’s office warns citizens to not make contact with the suspect.
