Residents not happy with Steamboat night ski plan

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Residents of Steamboat Springs are weighing in on a proposal to allow night skiing at the Steamboat Ski Area.

The city council is taking up a measure on Tuesday that would allow bright lights to be used on the lower mountain after the sun goes down.

Steamboat Today reports neighbors do not like the idea and plan to fight it.

Supporters say the activity will help revitalize the base area that usually seems deserted after dark.
