Rockies tickets go on sale May 1

Single-game tickets for the Grand Junction Rockies go on sale May 1, with fans able to select specific sections and specific seats online for each game they want to attend.

The “Pick-My-Seats” feature on the club website, gjrockies.com, allows fans to select seats or sections if a group is planning a get-together at the ballpark. Fans can also print out their own tickets on the site.

Tickets can be purchased at most area City Market stores and at the Rockies front office at Suplizio Field, 1315 North Ave.

Single-game tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for children ages 3-12.

The Rockies opener is June 20 at Suplizio Field against the Ogden Raptors. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

Kyle Petty fundraiser on Tuesday

More than 175 motorcycles will rumble into Grand Junction on Tuesday at 4 p.m., all for a good cause.

NASCAR driver Kyle Petty will lead the charge as Petty’s 19th annual Charity Ride Across American pulls into the DoubleTree by Hilton on Horizon Drive.

The ride raises funds and awareness for Victory Junction and “Small Change, Big Impact,” plus other children’s charities that support chronically ill children.

Former NFL great Herschel Walker will also be part of the ride.
