Salazar gets energy, veterans assignments

U.S. Rep. John Salazar, D-Colo., will serve on two subcommittees of the Appropriations Committee.
Salazar will serve on the Energy and Water Development subcommittee and the Military
Construction and Veterans Affairs subcommittee in the new Congress.

As a member of the Energy and Water subcommittee, Salazar said he planned to “focus on rebuilding the aging water infrastructure to continue to preserve and protect the water of the Mountain West.”

On the military and veterans panel, he said he planned to work for facilities for veterans in the 3rd Congressional District, which encompasses most of the West Slope and most of southern Colorado.
