Searchers for missing woman find body; no ID yet

SILVERTHORNE — Police in Silverthorne say a woman’s body has been found in a river, one of the areas they have been searching for a missing 41-year-old mother of three.

Town spokesman Ryan Hyland says the body found today in the mountain town hasn’t been identified. It’s not known if it is Stephanie Roller Bruner.

KUSA-TV in Denver reports that an investigation began around 1 p.m. today two blocks from Bruner’s home.

Bruner was last seen leaving for a walk Monday night. Her husband reported her missing Tuesday morning.

The Denver Post reports that Bruner’s family says she had filed for divorce Nov. 1. Her sister, Ramona Roller, tells the Post that Bruner was laid off from her job with Summit County in October.
