Second massage parlor worker arrested in Illinois

A second employee of Fuji Oriental Therapy Massage has been arrested in connection with a prostitution investigation of massage parlors across the Grand Valley.

Grand Junction police on Wednesday announced Suk Young Yu, 52, was arrested Monday after getting into a car accident in Normal, Ill. Officers there checked her identification and discovered she had a $100,000 warrant out for her arrest, police said.

Yu is being held on suspicion of pimping and conspiracy to commit pimping. She awaits extradition back to Grand Junction.

Fuji Massage owner Nan O’Reilly was arrested last week and is being held in the Mesa County Jail on $250,000 bond. Federal prosecutors are seeking to seize more than $1 million of O’Reilly’s assets they claim were generated by prostitution activity.

Police Cmdr. Greg Assenmacher said Yu was an employee of Fuji Massage and worked there for a number of years. He said police don’t know whether Yu and O’Reilly are related.

The arrests follow a 10-month investigation of massage parlors across the Grand Valley.

The investigation is continuing and more arrests could be made.

Further details about the probe have not been released because all of the search warrants and arrest affidavits in the case have been sealed.
