Preseason Broncos games on local TV
All four Denver Broncos preseason games this month will be televised locally.
The first game, at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 9 at Chicago, is on ME-TV, a new sister station of KKCO, since the NBC affiliate is showing the Olympics. ME-TV is on channel 11.2 over the air, channel 109 on Bresnan cable and channel 194 on Optimum cable.
The Aug. 18 game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High against Seattle, which kicks off at 7 p.m., and the Aug. 30 game at Arizona at 8 p.m., will both be on KKCO, with the Aug. 26 home game against San Francisco at 2 p.m. shown nationally on Fox.

Zoe Wright wins contest to become Grand Junction Rockies’ bat girl
Zoe Wright, a 16-year-old softball player at Grand Junction High School, won the first Grand Junction Rockies bat boy/bat girl contest.
Wright will be introduced before Saturday night’s game, when she will begin her duties, which will include shining cleats, chasing foul balls and retrieving bats during games.
Dozens of youngsters applied for the job, with Wright selected based on her short essay of why she is the right person for the job.
