GJ’s Martin leads in CWGA event

Grand Junction’s Melissa Martin shot a one-over-par 72 Thursday to move into the lead after two rounds of the 2013 Colorado Women’s Golf Association Stroke Play Championship at The Ranch Country Club in Westminster.

Martin carries 148 strokes and a one-stroke lead into today’s final round. Centennial’s Hannah Wood, who was tied for the lead after the first day with Kelly Moran of Boulder, shot a 77 Thursday and sits in second place at 149. Moran is alone in third place at 150 after firing a second-round 78.
