KidzPlex’s Cooley wins all-around title at Colorado Sky Invitational

Emma Cooley won the all-around title in the Level 7 junior division to lead KidzPlex Level 7 gymnastics team to first in the Colorado Sky Invitational last weekend in Denver.

Cooley had an all-around score of 35.525. She placed first on bars (8.95). Katie Stobbe took fourth all-around (34.9) and Jaedyn Dougherty was seventh (34.0).

In the children’s division, Melissa Elias placed second all-around (34.85), Cassidy Pratt took fourth (32.775) and Brooke Laffler was fifth (32.5).

Mary King placed third all-around (33.25) and won the floor exercise (9.125) in the Level 9 division.

Youth Wrestling

Three Colorado Outlaw wrestlers placed in the top three of the Terminator World Championships on Saturday in Prescott, Ariz.

Dylan Martinez took second in the 12-under, 74-pound division and Brendon Barnes was second in the 12-under, 65-pound class.

Dawson Collins placed third in the 12-under, 62-pound division.

The Outlaws will wrestle in the Rocky Mountain Nationals next weekend in Denver.
