Stadium Sports Bar & Grill closed over taxes Stadium Sports Bar & Grill closed over taxes
The Colorado Department of Revenue seized the Stadium Sports Bar & Grill, 3210 Interstate 70 Business Loop in Clifton, because of more than $27,000 in unpaid taxes, according to agency spokesman Mark Couch.
The unpaid taxes date from December through April and should have come from the sales tax paid by the customers and wage withholding tax that was taken by the Stadium on behalf of the employees.
The Department of Revenue said those taxes were not turned over to the government, and it closed the business April 30.
The restaurant cannot reopen until it pays the back taxes.
An auction for the items inside the restaurant is scheduled for 11 a.m. May 26 at the business location.
Paul Ruth owns the Stadium.
