Personal hero and why: Lorena Thompson, my English teacher. She had faith in me and helped me discover a part of myself I never knew existed.
Preferred college: Texas Christian University
Preferred career: Doctor
Greatest achievement so far: Eagle Scout
What you’d like to be your next greatest achievement: Write more songs and also start an a capella group next year.
Q: What has been your most memorable experience in high school?
A: Student mentoring for Honors Composition and Literature 10 for the past two years.
Q: What is your favorite subject and why?
A: English Literature because until my sophomore year I thought I was a poor English student, but with the help of Lorena Thompson I have discovered a passion for the subject.
Q: What are you looking for in a college?
A: Strong academics where I can also perform in musical theater.
Q: What would you tell freshmen who want to make the most of their years in high school?
A: Don’t wait until your junior year to get focused. Also, get involved in activities: Go to games and wear spandex body suits.
Q: If you could volunteer anywhere in the world, where would you go and what would you volunteer to do?
A: I would go to inner-city areas to help struggling students find passion for their own education.
Q: Name three things you want to accomplish before age 30.
A: 1. Get a major role in a college musical production. 2. Get into medical school. 3. Join an all-male a capella group.
