Q: What was the most memorable lesson you ever learned in a class?
A: An important lesson I have learned has not come from one specific class but my overall educational experience. Academics did not come easy for me early on, but through perseverance and determination I have overcome numerous obstacles and have learned that you can do anything you set your mind to.
Q: What subject or extracurricular activity are you most passionate about and why?
A: I enjoy almost anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. I have grown up doing both with my dad and grandpa, which are great ways of spending quality time with two important men in my life.
Q: Describe a time when you knew you made a difference in the community or in someone else’s life.
A: I have been coaching for the Lady Knights Volleyball Club (the club I played for when I was in middle school) for the past four years. The girls are young and impressionable, and I am able to have an impact on their lives by passing on my love for the sport and challenging them to make good choices in life.
Q: What are your goals for after high school?
A: To attend CNCC and play two years of volleyball and then transfer to a four-year university and possibly play two more years of ball or finish my degree by traveling abroad through an international exchange program.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: To join the film industry and be a movie editor.
