Student of the Week: FMHS senior Melinda Repetti
After-school activities: Art, photography and work.
Favorite book: “Looking for Alaska” by John Green.
Favorite TV show: “South Park.”
Favorite band or musicians: Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, and jazz music.
Parents: Amy Rogers and Tom Repetti.
Personal hero and why: Banksy (street artist). He isn’t afraid to be himself, and his art is creative and insightful.
Preferred college: No idea. I want to go to an art school.
Preferred career: Working artist.
Greatest achievement so far: Getting an honorable mention in the State Art Show.
What you would like to be your next greatest achievement: Selling a couple pieces, working toward figuring out my career.
Q: What has been your favorite high school class so far and why?
A: Economics, actually. I’m really interested in it.
Q: What do you do for fun when you’re not in class?
A: Art projects, being with friends.
Q: What’s the best advice a teacher, coach or parent ever gave you?
A: Life is hard. You just have to keep your head up and try not to be too jaded.
Q: What will you miss the most about your school after graduation?
A: The comfort of knowing everyone around you.
Q: What would you like to do after college?
Q: If you could spend this summer anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: Italy and Germany. I think Europe is a beautiful place.
