Students show their work at Animation Festival
If you’re curious about the art of animation or just want to be entertained, plan to attend the Animation Festival at Mesa State College.
Senior graphic design/animation majors will show off their completed works from 2:30–4:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, in the West Ballroom at the College Center, at 12th Street and Elm Avenue.
There also will be examples of the process of animation: storyboards, character boards, characters, props and sets.
“Animations students have worked many hours over the academic year to produce lively and entertaining animations,” said art professor Carolyn Quinn-Hensley, in a news release.
“This is a unique opportunity for the community and prospective students interested in our program to see what Graphic Design students at Mesa State College create in animated form,” she said.
And, it will be just like being at the movies. Popcorn and soda will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
